Hello, fellow food-lovers. My name is Dana, and I first became obsessed with cooking about ten years ago, after my husband Dustin and I first began dating.
Our romance blossomed after we began to cook dinner together nearly every night. As we cooked, we not only began to fall in love with each other, but we realized we shared a love and appreciation for delicious food.
So much so, that after honing our cooking skills and challenging ourselves with the different dishes, we noticed that when we began to eat at restaurants we would unintentionally morph into food critics.
While we are by no means world-class chefs, cooking as often as we do, we do have the ability to create meals that will make the taste buds dance.
We do enjoy going out to eat from time to time, and don’t mind paying a little extra for a quality dinner at a nicer–and often more expensive–restaurant. But during these difficult economic times when we rely on every dollar we have to stretch as far as possible, we decided to try and master the art of cooking without burning a hole in our pockets, while learning little cooking tricks along the way.
Many recipes I post on here are classics, however, I give them my own little touch. Other recipes are what I managed to concoct off the top of my head from ingredients I happened to already have in my house, as well as traditional family recipes we grew up with.
In addition to being a foodie, I’m also a published author. I write contemporary romance and historical fantasy fiction. You can find my first two published works HERE. My first novel is Twisted Fate by Dana Miller. I also wrote a short story Posione D’Amore, which is part of the anthology The Night Bazaar: Venice, Edited by Lenore Hart. My next novel is currently in the works, and my newest short story has just been sent off to my editor. Keep your eyes out for them!
I hope you enjoy our creations!
